To earn the Google UX Design Certificate, you need to complete all of the 7 courses on Coursera. Following, I will share a bit intro to the course and some advice to junior or experienced designers who plan to take the course. Okay, I’ve shared enough about my own learnings. When I want to leverage them in the real world, there are some missing parts that I don’t even notice. But all the design skills I learned are kind of spreading like pieces. There is no doubt that I’m a qualified designer. As a product designer, I work closely with the product manager to define the goal, collaborate with designers from visuals to design systems, and provide kick-ass design deliverables to engineers to build the features. With a business background, I’m doing well in project management. However, even with years of experience, I feel lost sometimes. I worked so hard to learn as much as possible from every project.
Before joining Agoda, I’ve worked at a design agency for 2 years. Currently, I’m a product designer at Agoda focus on hotel booking experience. I started my design career as an intern 5 years ago. Imagine you finally can update your profile on LinkedIn with a Google logo. I believe most people decided to take the course because it’s from Google. Having 5 years of experience in design, I still get inspired. Especially, when you saw many people complete the courses in less than a month. It was a long journey and overwhelmed sometimes that I didn’t expect in the beginning. As a designer with a full-time job, it took me 3.5 months to complete the whole 7 courses. Earlier this month, I finally completed and earned the Google UX Design Certificate.
